Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Winter in Pangbourne, Berks by Frank Spenlove Spenlove for GBP 288.00 (€ 417.74). This price was achieved in the auction The Sunday Picture Sale - British and Continental oils, at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Spenlove Spenlove - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bosham, Sussex, which sold at auction in October 2002 for GBP 587.50 (€ 929.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Winter in Pangbourne, Berks von Frank Spenlove Spenlove für GBP 288,00 (€ 417,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Sunday Picture Sale - British and Continental oils, bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frank Spenlove Spenlove mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bosham, Sussex beobachtet, die im Oktober 2002 für GBP 587,50 (€ 929,32) versteigert wurde.
