Incised twice with the artist's signature, inscribed, titled, numbered and dated 'FRANK GEHRY LITTLE BEAVER 5/100 Frank Gehry. Published by New City Editions 1987' (on a brass plaque on the underside of the chair). Designed in 1980 and executed circa 1987. This work is number five from an edition of one-hundred.

Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Frank Gehry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in August 2017. In the Living with Art auction, the work Little Beaver' Chair and Ottoman sold for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,419.94) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Gehry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fish Lamp in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 239,400.00 (€ 212,102.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frank Gehry erzielte im August 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Living with Art wurde die Arbeit Little Beaver' Chair and Ottoman für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.419,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Gehry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fish Lamp im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 239.400,00 (€ 212.102,42).
