In March 2005 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER, which included the work The Return of The Boats by Frank Hider. The result of GBP 300.00 (€ 436.92) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Hider - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn in the Highlands; and Vessels off a rocky coastline, which sold at auction in November 2002 for GBP 822.50 (€ 1,287.99).

Im März 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Return of The Boats von Frank Hider zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 300,00 (€ 436,92) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frank Hider mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn in the Highlands; and Vessels off a rocky coastline beobachtet, die im November 2002 für GBP 822,50 (€ 1.287,99) versteigert wurde.
