Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Early Autumn ; and The tranquil passing of the day by Frank Hider was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 446.50 (€ 728.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Frank Hider have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2002 the work Autumn in the Highlands; and Vessels off a rocky coastline was auctioned for GBP 822.50 (€ 1,287.99).
