Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Marine Melody by Frank Harmon Myers was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 637.50 (€ 601.30). Admittedly, works by Frank Harmon Myers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woodchopper in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 6,325.00 (€ 5,430.58).
