Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Untitled - Shoreline by Frank Hans Johnston. The price achieved of CAD 30,000.00 (€ 23,218.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frank Hans Johnston have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scene From Acton Island in November 2012 with an auction result of CAD 129,000.00 (€ 99,838.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled - Shoreline von Frank Hans Johnston zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 30.000,00 (€ 23.218,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Hans Johnston auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scene From Acton Island im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 129.000,00 (€ 99.838,66).
