Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frank Hans Johnston could be acquired at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Canadian Art auction, the work Silver Moonlight changed hands for CAD 13,200.00 (€ 9,477.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of CAD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Hans Johnston achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scene From Acton Island in November 2012 with an auction result of CAD 129,000.00 (€ 99,838.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frank Hans Johnston konnte im Mai 2011 bei Sothebys in Toronto für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Canadian Art wechselte die Arbeit Silver Moonlight für CAD 13.200,00 (€ 9.477,63) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Hans Johnston erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scene From Acton Island im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 129.000,00 (€ 99.838,66).
