Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2010 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Sun Through The Trees by Frank Hans Johnston. Here, the upper estimate of CAD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for CAD 15,600.00 (€ 11,655.72). Admittedly, works by Frank Hans Johnston have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scene From Acton Island in November 2012 with an auction result of CAD 129,000.00 (€ 99,838.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sun Through The Trees von Frank Hans Johnston zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von CAD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für CAD 15.600,00 (€ 11.655,72) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Hans Johnston auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scene From Acton Island im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 129.000,00 (€ 99.838,66).
