Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work View Of The Pont Neuf, Paris by Frank Edwin Scott was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in March 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Frank Edwin Scott have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Place de la Concorde in June 2020 with an auction result of AUD 5,490.00 (€ 4,888.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit View Of The Pont Neuf, Paris von Frank Edwin Scott im März 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.200,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Edwin Scott auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Place de la Concorde im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 5.490,00 (€ 4.888,26).
