Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work A Summer Landscape by Frank Edwin Scott for EUR 1,020.00. This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours at Sothebys in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Frank Edwin Scott have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Place de la Concorde in June 2020 with an auction result of AUD 5,490.00 (€ 4,888.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Summer Landscape von Frank Edwin Scott für EUR 1.020,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours bei Sothebys in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Edwin Scott auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Place de la Concorde im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 5.490,00 (€ 4.888,26).
