Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "He Turned on Them and Told Them to Sit" by Frank Earle Schoonover was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,962.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Earle Schoonover achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work As the Canoe Swept By in May last year with an auction result of USD 441,000.00 (€ 410,958.90).
