Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reclining Nude Figure 50.8 cm. (20 in.) wide (excluding the slate base) by Frank Dobson was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 16,640.00 (€ 19,282.14) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Dobson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Female Torso in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 2,041,750.00 (€ 2,398,530.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reclining Nude Figure 50.8 cm. (20 in.) wide (excluding the slate base) von Frank Dobson kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 16.640,00 (€ 19.282,14) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Dobson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Female Torso im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.041.750,00 (€ 2.398.530,29).
