Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Christies in London held the auction The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship, which included the work Seated Nude by Frank Dobson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,557.45), 21% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Dobson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Female Torso in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 2,041,750.00 (€ 2,398,530.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seated Nude von Frank Dobson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.024,00 (€ 3.557,45) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Dobson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Female Torso im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.041.750,00 (€ 2.398.530,29).
