Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bather, Study For Toilet by Frank Dobson was sold in the Refining Taste: Works Selected by Danny Katz auction at Sothebys in London in May 2020. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,101.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Dobson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Female Torso in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 2,041,750.00 (€ 2,398,530.29).

Die Arbeit Bather, Study For Toilet von Frank Dobson wurde im Mai 2020 in der Auktion Refining Taste: Works Selected by Danny Katz bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.101,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
