Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Western Art, which included the work Wagon Boss by Frank B. Hoffman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,355.00 (€ 4,538.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Frank B. Hoffman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cattle Drive West in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 23,275.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Western Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wagon Boss von Frank B. Hoffman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.355,00 (€ 4.538,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank B. Hoffman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cattle Drive West im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 23.275,30).
