Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Allegory Of Drawing by François Lemoyne was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,639.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Lemoyne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Adam Et Eve in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 1,296,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An Allegory Of Drawing von François Lemoyne kam im Januar 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.639,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Lemoyne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Adam Et Eve im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.296.750,00.
