Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters Part II, which included the work Ananias Restoring The Sight Of Saint Paul by François Lemoyne. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,529.24) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Lemoyne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Adam Et Eve in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 1,296,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ananias Restoring The Sight Of Saint Paul von François Lemoyne zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.529,24) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Lemoyne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Adam Et Eve im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.296.750,00.
