Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Butterflies by a mixed bouquet with roses by François Joseph Huygens was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,640.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François Joseph Huygens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses, Tulips And Other Flowers In A Vase With Plums And A Bird'S Nest On A Wooden Ledge, which sold at auction in December 2003 for USD 9,560.00 (€ 7,589.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Butterflies by a mixed bouquet with roses von François Joseph Huygens kam im Januar 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.640,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von François Joseph Huygens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roses, Tulips And Other Flowers In A Vase With Plums And A Bird'S Nest On A Wooden Ledge beobachtet, die im Dezember 2003 für USD 9.560,00 (€ 7.589,11) versteigert wurde.
