Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Profile Portrait Of A Woman by François-Joseph Heim was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 688.00 (€ 609.39). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François-Joseph Heim achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait D'Adélaïde D'Orléans (1777-1847); Et Portrait de Ferdinand, Duc D'Orléans (1810-1842) in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 10,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Profile Portrait Of A Woman von François-Joseph Heim im Januar 2015 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 688,00 (€ 609,39) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François-Joseph Heim erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait D'Adélaïde D'Orléans (1777-1847); Et Portrait de Ferdinand, Duc D'Orléans (1810-1842) im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.200,00.
