Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work Portrait Of The Marquis De Briges, Aged Seven by François-Hubert Drouais. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 93,750.00 (€ 109,608.96), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by François-Hubert Drouais have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Children Of The Duc De Bouillon Dressed As Montagnards; One Playing A Hurdy-Gurdy, The Other Playing With A Marmot On A Ribbon in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,217,000.00 (€ 820,025.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of The Marquis De Briges, Aged Seven von François-Hubert Drouais zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 109.608,96) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von François-Hubert Drouais auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Children Of The Duc De Bouillon Dressed As Montagnards; One Playing A Hurdy-Gurdy, The Other Playing With A Marmot On A Ribbon im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.217.000,00 (€ 820.025,60).
