Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Boy Seated At A Table, Looking Up, With An Open Birdcage by François-Hubert Drouais was sold in the Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2020. The price achieved of USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,819.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François-Hubert Drouais achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Children Of The Duc De Bouillon Dressed As Montagnards; One Playing A Hurdy-Gurdy, The Other Playing With A Marmot On A Ribbon in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,217,000.00 (€ 820,025.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Boy Seated At A Table, Looking Up, With An Open Birdcage von François-Hubert Drouais wurde im Januar 2020 in der Auktion Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Children Of The Duc De Bouillon Dressed As Montagnards; One Playing A Hurdy-Gurdy, The Other Playing With A Marmot On A Ribbon im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.217.000,00 (€ 820.025,60).
