Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,772.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by François-Geoffroy Roux have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The French barque Sénégambie in Mediterranean waters off Marseilles in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,696.86).
