It achieved a price of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,764.15), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Dumont achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Queen Marie-Antoinette (1755-1793), facing right in gold-bordered white satin dress with gold-bordered blue sash, white-bordered pale blue muslin scarf tied in her long curled powdered hair in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 69,750.00 (€ 110,994.22).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.764,15) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Dumont erzielen.
