In March 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Sunday Sale- The Edward and Millicent Carew- Shaw bequest, to benefit Medical Research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which included the work Quai a Venise by François Desnoyer. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,320.00 (€ 6,358.55), 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by François Desnoyer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Saint-Raphaël (Le port) in December 2005 with an auction result of EUR 38,400.00.

Im März 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Sunday Sale- The Edward and Millicent Carew- Shaw bequest, to benefit Medical Research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem durch, in der auch die Arbeit Quai a Venise von François Desnoyer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.320,00 (€ 6.358,55) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von François Desnoyer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Saint-Raphaël (Le port) im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 38.400,00.
