The work Vue du chantier naval by François Desnoyer was sold in the The Sunday Sale- The Edward and Millicent Carew- Shaw bequest, to benefit Medical Research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem auction at Christies in London in March 2007. It achieved a price of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,418.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Admittedly, works by François Desnoyer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Saint-Raphaël (Le port) in December 2005 with an auction result of EUR 38,400.00.

Die Arbeit Vue du chantier naval von François Desnoyer wurde im März 2007 in der Auktion The Sunday Sale- The Edward and Millicent Carew- Shaw bequest, to benefit Medical Research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 7.418,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von François Desnoyer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Saint-Raphaël (Le port) im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 38.400,00.
