Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Portrait of a young woman, bust-length, traditionally identified as Justine Favart by François Boucher. The price achieved of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,580.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Boucher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sleep Of Venus in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,405,000.00 (€ 1,781,481.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a young woman, bust-length, traditionally identified as Justine Favart von François Boucher zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.580,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Boucher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Sleep Of Venus im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.405.000,00 (€ 1.781.481,48).
