Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work A young woman at the top of stairs outside a rustic building by François Boucher for USD 2,772.00 (€ 2,422.65). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Drawings at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Boucher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sleep Of Venus in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,405,000.00 (€ 1,781,481.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Boucher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Sleep Of Venus im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.405.000,00 (€ 1.781.481,48).
