Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A skull, an hour glass, a shield with books and papers on a partly draped table by Franciscus Gijsbrechts was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2012. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,565.95). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franciscus Gijsbrechts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A trompe l'oeil still life of a half-open wall cabinet filled with writing implements, silver gilt dishes, a violin, hunting horn and other objects in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 90,062.00 (€ 106,442.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A skull, an hour glass, a shield with books and papers on a partly draped table von Franciscus Gijsbrechts kam im Mai 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A trompe l'oeil still life of a half-open wall cabinet filled with writing implements, silver gilt dishes, a violin, hunting horn and other objects im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.062,00 (€ 106.442,74).
