Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tucacas 375 by Francisco Salazar was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2016. The price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,329.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francisco Salazar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Positivo-Negativo No 40 in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 175,000.00 (€ 159,177.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tucacas 375 von Francisco Salazar kam im Mai 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 21.329,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francisco Salazar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Positivo-Negativo No 40 im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 175.000,00 (€ 159.177,73).
