Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Homenaje A La Diagonal by Francisco Salazar. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,008.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Salazar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Positivo-Negativo No 40 in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 175,000.00 (€ 159,177.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Homenaje A La Diagonal von Francisco Salazar zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 13.008,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco Salazar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Positivo-Negativo No 40 im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 175.000,00 (€ 159.177,73).
