In June 2011 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work A Gift Of Grapes by Francis William Topham. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,106.31) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francis William Topham - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The flower seller, which sold at auction in July 2004 for GBP 1,912.00 (€ 2,889.45).
