However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francis Wheatley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Equestrian portrait of Sir Henry Pigot (1750-1840), which sold at auction in December 2000 for USD 369,000.00 (€ 393,054.96).
