It achieved a price of USD 132,000.00 (€ 101,554.09), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 65%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francis Wheatley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Equestrian portrait of Sir Henry Pigot (1750-1840), which sold at auction in December 2000 for USD 369,000.00 (€ 393,054.96).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 132.000,00 (€ 101.554,09) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 65%.
