Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Christies in Skinner Marlborough, Mass held the auction Art Moderne, which included the work Sans titre (Espagnole) by Francis Picabia. The price achieved of EUR 12,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Picabia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pavonia in March last year with an auction result of EUR 9,996,700.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in Skinner Marlborough, Mass die Auktion Art Moderne durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre (Espagnole) von Francis Picabia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Picabia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pavonia im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.996.700,00.
