This artwork by Francis Henry Beaugureau achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work Portrait of a Native American Man 20 x 14 1/2 in. framed 27 x 21 1/2 in. sold for USD 2,176.00 (€ 1,994.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francis Henry Beaugureau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Indians Galloping, which sold at auction in August 2019 for USD 6,950.00 (€ 6,324.51).

In der Auktion California and Western Art Online wurde die Arbeit Portrait of a Native American Man 20 x 14 1/2 in. framed 27 x 21 1/2 in. für USD 2.176,00 (€ 1.994,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Francis Henry Beaugureau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Indians Galloping beobachtet, die im August 2019 für USD 6.950,00 (€ 6.324,51) versteigert wurde.
