Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Western Art, which included the work Guarding the Wagon by Francis Henry Beaugureau. The price achieved of USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,540.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francis Henry Beaugureau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Indians Galloping, which sold at auction in August 2019 for USD 6,950.00 (€ 6,324.51).
