In May 2007 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Photography, which included the work Place Du Palais Royal, Paris by Francis Frith. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 991.00 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Frith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Egypt, Palestine & Nubia in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 31,070.00 (€ 46,616.44).

Im Mai 2007 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Photography durch, in der auch die Arbeit Place Du Palais Royal, Paris von Francis Frith zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 991,00 und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Frith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Egypt, Palestine & Nubia im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.070,00 (€ 46.616,44).
