Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a lady, small three-quarter-length, in a pink dress with lace trimming, holding a fan, in an interior by Francis Alleyne was sold in the British and Victorian Pictures auction at Christies in London in September 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 822.50 (€ 1,307.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Alleyne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Mrs James Peter Fector Of Dover, With Her Son Peter (B. 1787) And Daughter Mary Frances (B. 1791), Full-Length in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,423.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, small three-quarter-length, in a pink dress with lace trimming, holding a fan, in an interior von Francis Alleyne wurde im September 2002 in der Auktion British and Victorian Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert.
