Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work View Of Palermo From The Bocca Di Falco by Francesco Zerilli was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 23,750.00 (€ 17,592.59). Other works by Francesco Zerilli have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2013 by the work Bick von der Villa Belmonte auf Palermo at EUR 32,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit View Of Palermo From The Bocca Di Falco von Francesco Zerilli im Januar 2014 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 23.750,00 (€ 17.592,59) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Francesco Zerilli wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai 2013 die Arbeit Bick von der Villa Belmonte auf Palermo mit EUR 32.250,00.
