The work Sicilly: the bay of Palermo from the Romagnolo; and A view of Palermo from the sea with shipping, including an English vessel by Francesco Zerilli was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2016. It achieved a price of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,705.41), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Francesco Zerilli; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bick von der Villa Belmonte auf Palermo sold at auction in May 2013 with the realized price of EUR 32,250.00.
