This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Francesco Zerilli; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bick von der Villa Belmonte auf Palermo sold at auction in May 2013 with the realized price of EUR 32,250.00.
