Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Merriment in the tavern by Francesco Vinea was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 25,850.00 (€ 30,461.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Vinea - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Italianitalian Dance Party, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 93,750.00 (€ 72,182.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Merriment in the tavern von Francesco Vinea kam im Oktober 2000 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 25.850,00 (€ 30.461,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Francesco Vinea mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Italianitalian Dance Party beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 93.750,00 (€ 72.182,01) versteigert wurde.
