Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tobias and the Angel |《托比亞斯與天使》 by Francesco Ubertini was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 226,800.00 (€ 253,355.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Ubertini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Madonna and Child with Saint John the Baptist seated among rocks, a village beyond with shepherds, which sold at auction in December 2000 for GBP 432,750.00 (€ 689,366.88).

Die Arbeit Tobias and the Angel |《托比亞斯與天使》 von Francesco Ubertini kam im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 226.800,00 (€ 253.355,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Francesco Ubertini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Madonna and Child with Saint John the Baptist seated among rocks, a village beyond with shepherds beobachtet, die im Dezember 2000 für GBP 432.750,00 (€ 689.366,88) versteigert wurde.
