Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2008 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Venezia, L'Isola Della Giudecca Con La Chiesa Del Redentore; Il Ponte Di Rialto Con La Riva Del Vin by Francesco Tironi. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 69,850.00 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Francesco Tironi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Grand Canal with the Rialto Bridge from the South; Saint Mark's Square with the Basilica and the Campanile in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 525,000.00 (€ 615,671.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Venezia, L'Isola Della Giudecca Con La Chiesa Del Redentore; Il Ponte Di Rialto Con La Riva Del Vin von Francesco Tironi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 69.850,00 und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francesco Tironi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Grand Canal with the Rialto Bridge from the South; Saint Mark's Square with the Basilica and the Campanile im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 525.000,00 (€ 615.671,36).
