Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work A view of the Piazza San Marco, Venice, decorated for the Festa della Sensa by Francesco Tironi was worth GBP 40,000.00 (€ 44,616.95) to a buyer in July 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Tironi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Canal with the Rialto Bridge from the South; Saint Mark's Square with the Basilica and the Campanile in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 525,000.00 (€ 615,671.36).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit A view of the Piazza San Marco, Venice, decorated for the Festa della Sensa von Francesco Tironi war einem Käufer im Juli 2020 GBP 40.000,00 (€ 44.616,95) wert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Grand Canal with the Rialto Bridge from the South; Saint Mark's Square with the Basilica and the Campanile im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 525.000,00 (€ 615.671,36).
