In July 2007 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings, which included the work The Venetian Lagoon in winter looking towards the Isola Sant' Elena by Francesco Tironi. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,455.69) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Tironi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Canal with the Rialto Bridge from the South; Saint Mark's Square with the Basilica and the Campanile in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 525,000.00 (€ 615,671.36).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Venetian Lagoon in winter looking towards the Isola Sant' Elena von Francesco Tironi zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 4.455,69) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Tironi erzielen.
