Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Madonna And Child by Francesco Solimena. The price achieved of USD 100,000.00 (€ 74,074.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francesco Solimena have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Finding Of Moses in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 825,000.00 (€ 555,892.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Madonna And Child von Francesco Solimena zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 74.074,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francesco Solimena auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Finding Of Moses im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 825.000,00 (€ 555.892,46).
