The work The Finding Of Moses by Francesco Solimena was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2008. The price achieved of USD 825,000.00 (€ 555,892.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700,000.00 – 900,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Finding Of Moses is the most expensive artwork by Francesco Solimena that we have observed at auctions so far.
