Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings, which included the work Two Battle Scenes by Francesco Simonini. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,123.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Simonini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An extensive mountainous landscape with a battle scene in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 92,500.00 (€ 116,671.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Battle Scenes von Francesco Simonini zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.123,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Simonini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An extensive mountainous landscape with a battle scene im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 92.500,00 (€ 116.671,58).
