In October 2018 Il Ponte held the auction Old Master Drawings and Engravings, which included the work Knights on the move by Francesco Simonini. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,200.00 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Simonini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An extensive mountainous landscape with a battle scene in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 92,500.00 (€ 116,671.58).

Im Oktober 2018 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Old Master Drawings and Engravings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Knights on the move von Francesco Simonini zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.200,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Simonini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An extensive mountainous landscape with a battle scene im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 92.500,00 (€ 116.671,58).
