In the Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni auction, the work Soldiers Crossing A River changed hands for USD 64,900.00 (€ 47,776.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Simonini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An extensive mountainous landscape with a battle scene, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 92,500.00 (€ 116,671.58).
